| I grew up playing AD&D 2nd addition and I.C.E.'s rolemaster with my brother and his friends through the late 80's & 90's. School and life took me away from gaming a long time. Although I did buy most of the old SSI Gold Box D&D games, Bard's Tale's, and other CRPG's. Was not til I discoverd Ultima Online that I started RPG on the net. It mostly was a let down, but I did have a decent Drow guild I was a part of.......then life took me away again for a while. About 2 or so years ago I bought NWN Diamond and had some fun.....later came NWN2 and MOTB expansion......none of it really replaced real gaming. Then I discovered online and TFR about 3 months ago and found what I have been looking for all this time! I am now home. Revenark and the dwarves of the alliance and otehrs brought RP back and Im not leaving. I have been wanting to start a 2nd character- namely a drow, but worried I was not up to the task. I have of course read all of salvatore's novels and a few others. I have been doing some research on D&D drow as well. A debate that Vorne started in the TFR forums convinced me to give em a try. Oddly enough, the first drow I met in game happened to be Vorne. We Rp'd a bit and he asked me to join the house. I did not know this was the same person from the forums, but I had my suspicions, heh.
Anyway, I am learning the drow language and mainly useful phrases and words I should know to help the immersion factor. I tend to stay in character......though grinding is often times when I seek advice thru tells and what have you as well. I have a pretty good grip on drow lore and society, but I will do my best to learn more and behave appropprietly. If you catch me doing something that is out of line from proper behavior- its mostly likely because I do not know. So feel free to advise/berrate me as the situation dictates. If everyone is as cool as the few of the Kor'ali I have spoken with- then I look forward to a lot of fun times ahead. I am not sure how much I should meta about my character on the forums.....but by sheer coinidence his background story is that he is from Ched Nasad (seemed appropriate to have a Ched refugee since I knew nothing of Szith)....imagine my pleasent surprise to find out the Kor'ali were from there. My in game lore check revealed but little as it was like a 17. I will post a bit more in the lore section after i see what others post.
Thanks for the invite, good gaming, and look forward to the fun ahead!

| Welcome man! Ive been playing D&D style games for about eight years now. I started on NWN shortly after its release and my first online server was Amia. Thats where I met the Kor'ali (Of course they were Vandree back then) but let me say, Kor'ali has a reputation for having top notch roleplayers and we have our character build experts as well. *coughs toward Slayn* I for one am glad you joined up because your character seems to fit like a glove and your roleplay is awsome. Welcome to the house mate. I'm looking to some great roleplay and grinding sessions. | |

I really doubt that applies now since we've left NWN, lol.... My ideas are still pretty much based on how the game engine ran there. Anyway, great to have you onboard Sunder. Naeradil here's been rather excited ever since you and Fjorn joined us; and has been working much MUCH harder on getting new members. I'd like to say that we're appreciative for your eagerness in roleplaying a drow right; but sometimes we(namely, I) are lacking in it as well. Personally, I'd be glad if you told us your view points on how a drow should be rped sometimes if we do run off track; Course, it's up to Hades if he wants to listen or not. lol Just so you'd know.. there's more to House Kor'ali than what meets the eye | |

| Welcome aboard, man! ALL my DnD knowledge comes from NWN1, specifically Amia there. So I've never read books like War of the Spider Queen or other drow novels (though I wanna). When I'm not powergaming, I tend to develop some, for me to roleplay at least, interesting personalities. Thrul'dor is kinda watered down atm, but whatever. Anyways, dude, I'm without a doubt certain you know a LOT more about DnD than I ever will and ever can hope to know. I like what I've seen so far. Keep on rockin'! \m/ | |
