I'm becoming increasingly worried about this issue, as to me it seems childish and when I think some more on it, I just get the feeling that "no wonder Morcane and Mori'hyanda fought like this", although I always felt we would be more mature than that. Obviously, that is not the case.
I believe we're increasingly ruining the atmorsphere of the drow community, whether some random player insulted another random player or not, and both just *happened* to be in a noble house. It seems such issues as this should be taken out between the petty players, instead of the guilds, but I understand the position. I've been a DM, and even a drow matron 3 times in my NWN time for a long period of time, and there have been issues like this when I just felt that I wanted to slaughter every bloody stupid drow out there.
But come on, this is to me obvious, it's about players becoming bored and just want to try those abilities they got from grinding on other players, just to show how cool they are. And we're obliging them. We're all such suckers. Instead of building up a community with the other houses, a common understanding, a council, a united front from the outside, but divided within, we reach into meaningless PvP encounters for no other reason than to be the "ELITE BEST FUCKING DROW PLAYER ON SERVER! LOL LEET!".
Yikes. Didn't you feel you could get something more out of this? Sometimes it takes a bigger man to admit to wrongs he never did, or ignoring others, for the benfit of all.
