It started as a way to work around spell components and turned into one of the nastiest and most vulgar characters i've ever seen. I worked out a whole system of spells based on food and bodily functions. For instance: to cast noxious cloud you'd eat onions or garlic and belch. Eat something spicy and belch and get acid cloud.
